Jessica Parker Kennedy Instagram – Utah! Please stop gas chamber euthanasia! Use your voice! #Repost @katherineheigl below “In my beautiful home state of Utah, I am saddened that animal rights regarding euthanasia are still lacking. It is one of the only three states that still use gas chambers to euthanize animals in our shelter system. This practice is cruel and inhumane and should NEVER be used to end any animal’s life. The only humane way to euthanize an animal is through euthanasia by injection. Last week, the bill to ban the use of gas chambers in Utah, Senate Bill 69, passed unanimously in the senate and moved on to the house committee. Testimony was given by @humanesociety, @nuzzlesandco and @saltlakecountyanimalservices on why the use of gas chambers should be banned. The house committee decided to hold the bill because of opposition testimony by two Utah sheriffs. If you love animals please let your voice be heard. I know my compassionate community in the state of Utah can help end this inhumane form of euthanizing animals. Please contact your house representatives and local sheriffs’ office in support of Bill 69.
