everything was calm and all the chimps were relaxed hiding from the 104 degree sun. we had been relaxing too until two female chimps started arguing in the distance. i tried to capture it but didn’t notice i was in the way. we always keep our distance but there’s nothing you can do if they approach you. you just try not to make eye contact or get in the way. or in my case don’t scream in fright. in the end it was just a lot of screaming. ten minutes later they were all hanging out again eating seed pods in a tree.
