and then this just happened: on assignment for @natgeo with @wildstarfilms for our new show #SENTIENT everything was calm and all the chimps were relaxed hiding from the 104 degree sun. we had been relaxing too until two female chimps started arguing in the distance. i tried to capture it but didn’t notice i was in the way. we always keep our distance but there’s nothing you can do if they approach you. you just try not to make eye contact or get in the way. or in my case don’t scream in fright. in the end it was just a lot of screaming. ten minutes later they were all hanging out again eating seed pods in a tree. #chimpanzee #senegal #animalsarepeopletoo

i remember very clearly going to the #havana film festival in #cuba with @sundanceorg with my first film #pithemovie . now i’m so proud of my brother @paxtyrone for winning the havana film festival in cuba with our film #pacified. @pacificadofilme
over 15 years ago while making #theFOUNTAIN my team and i spent months photographing chemical reactions through a microscope with 35mm film. then we scanned the footage and digitally adjusted it to imagine what it might be like to witness a dying star. last month @nasa released an actual photo of a dying star taken by the @nasahubble . i think i was just as surprised as @thehughjackman
