Ross Butler Instagram – casual july reading list thoughts: i havent been reading too much lately because of work and play. reading for me, a lot of the time, can feel like a chore until i get some momentum going and feel inspired to invest time in slowing down. that sentiment feels contradictory at times, invest in slowing down. it almost seems counterproductive. but ive been feeling overwhelmed with work and whats been going on in our country that i find myself getting stressed out for no reason, and that is hindering my inspiration for anything, really. so investing in slowing down im hoping is the remedy to that. i chose books that can be read in short spurts so i also dont feel like a failure for not reading long enough and can get some satisfaction from small progress. i also realize that my i’s are not capitalized and that’s because i downloaded the italian language onto my keyboard and they have frequent uncapitalized i’s and frankly i find them non intimidating and nice to look at. maybe because its a short line with a dot on top instead of a bewildering wall spanning the entire width of the type line proclaiming “ME.” if you capitalize your i’s, youre frankly a narcissist
