Rebecca Flint Instagram – There’s no greater thrill than wearing clothes you have sewn yourself 👗💃
A few weeks ago I decided to finally make use of an old pair of vintage floral curtains 🏡
Heavily inspired by 70s Prairie dresses, in particular, vintage Laura Ashley, this dress features a standing collar, lace detailed yoke with frill, leg-of-mutton sleeves with lace panels and pearl buttons, and a mighty skirt which holds more than 5 metres of length 😱
There’s still things I would try and improve on if I could sew it all over again, but I’m focussing on enjoying the fruits of my labour and the peace I had when sewing it 🧘♀️
If you sew too – tell me – do you always have the fear that for some reason it’s all going to fall apart as soon as you leave the house and be left bare? Tell me I am not alone! 🫢
Thank you to @hellomissjordan for a gorgeous day out, and for helping take these photos 🌸 Dalloway Terrace | Posted on 17/Jun/2022 01:24:44
