First in-person audition of the year. Since March of 2020 as we entered the pandemic I’ve had hundreds and hundreds of self-tapes all done from the comfort of my home. Going to an audition and seeing people face-to-face is rare now. I sat in my car, butterflies stirring in my stomach, collected my nerves and had a total blast. Like riding a bike 🥰

2022 is off to a prosperous start! I shot a feature film throughout January and now I’m in the middle of filming my second movie of the year as a lead. Pinching myself daily. A huge thanks to @chadridgely for allowing me to take on such a massive challenge. Thanks to @victoriavstrange for being as intense, as committed, as quirky, and as prepared as me so that I don’t feel like a weirdo; all of our shared, glorious passion is coming through and you are a true delight to work opposite. Thanks @justins_lens for bringing positivity to set everyday. @ryanlove4 you are the captain of the ship and making us sail smoothly. @itscaitlinloretta thanks for stepping in and helping in such a big way. This is the face of pure joy. Whenever I book a role in a project and get to work with fellow creatives to tell a story I can’t help but be giddy. Oh my. Who is that?! This is my current character look on a film and what an incredible transformation it has been. The glasses are by far my favorite element that drops me right into character. This amazing transformation is thanks to our director @micofilm , our makeup head @thetonyobrien , and the GENIUS that is @gabrielle.salinger who worked with me for two weeks to develop an entirely new voice. We were asked to create a childlike voice, that was raspy with a whispered quality that wouldn’t be too distracting or annoying. A challenge? Yes, but @gabrielle.salinger is the voice coach goddess!

Two days left until wrapping my second feature film of the year. When I first got the script I said, “Wow. This is going to be a challenge”. That’s exactly what I said after reading the script for @truththefilm I was correct in knowing that both of the roles would require an emotional endurance and intensity that would demand extreme mental focus from me. I knew I was in good hands.
