Jack DeJohnette Instagram – I’d like to apologize to the fans who are expecting to hear the quartet with Matthew Garrison, Don Byron, Luisito Quintero and myself at Newport Jazz festival this coming weekend. Unfortunately Matthew got Covid yesterday and is not able to play, so I felt it was necessary to cancel our performance on Saturday for health reasons. I am really disappointed we couldn’t play our music for you, we were all looking forward to it. Until next time, hope everyone has a safe healthy and happy summer. —Jack
