Check out the latest addition to my home studio! I can’t recommend the Zoom L20 Digital Mixer/Recorder enough.
I just had some incredible musical adventures playing with Matthew Garrison and Jon Batiste!
We went everywhere. Monk, Oliver Nelson, Herbie Hancock, Victor Feldman, Coltrane, and lots of spontaneous compositions by the three of us. Thank you Matthew & Jon for sharing your
creative gifts with me.

About 30 years ago, my family and I were adopted by Grandma Twylah Nitsch of the Seneca Nation. We spent many hours studying with her and it changed our lives. Her teachings among many things were about the coming world changes, The Fifth World. This music was inspired by her teachings and I believe they are highly relevant today. I have much gratitude for all the musicians on this, they were slamming, including my daughter Farah who sang and my wife Lydia who helped with production and cover art.
The Fifth world is about Unity and coming together…we need to do this work now more than ever, no more separation❤️!
Join us for an unforgettable night of music with my dear friends and incredible musicians Don Byron, Matt Garrison, and Luisito Quintero at the Bearsville Theater on December 17th get your tickets at the link in my bio!
I joined forces with more than 100 drummers & percussionists to create #DrumTogether—a never-before-heard, drum-focused version of @thebeatles “Come Together,” all to support @whyhungerpix in building a just, hunger-free world. Join the beat and watch the full video at WhyHunger.org/drum
I’d like to apologize to the fans who are expecting to hear the quartet with Matthew Garrison, Don Byron, Luisito Quintero and myself at Newport Jazz festival this coming weekend.
Unfortunately Matthew got Covid yesterday and is not able to play,
so I felt it was necessary to cancel our performance on Saturday for
health reasons.
I am really disappointed we couldn’t play our music for you, we
were all looking forward to it.
Until next time, hope everyone has a safe healthy and happy summer.
