Cecily Strong Instagram – Finally dipping my toes in the vacation game again. I’m generally what we’d call a “big time wuss” and don’t do a lot of things because of that, but I went snorkeling in the Mediterranean while touring the Calanques. I even swam into “the blue hole”! Thank you to Bleu Evasion and our fantastic knowledgeable and very funny guide Nico. There are four other Nico’s, so make sure you ask for him by his nickname- “Nico-tine”. And no, that last photo isn’t photoshopped #SuperModellsOfInstergram #LeonardDiCarpio
Cecily Strong Instagram – It will be some time before I fully process this thing. I know this, though, today, for sure: I love live theater, especially in New York City. Leigh Silverman is a genius and captain like no other and absolutely fits in on my Mt Rushmore with Jane Wagner and Lily Tomlin Justin (Joanne) Scribner is the greatest dancing partner which is a job some people call stage manager. Chris(tine) and Joanna are the best bubblemates I could ask for, and my favorite revelation of the show was Joanna (very Long Island) saying- “you know I was up late last night and I kept thinking- Fuck Bob. He’s a fucking phony” And I really truly know what it feels like, as I think Kafka wrote, to have been filled with a sense of endless astonishment simply at seeing a group of people cheerfully assembled. And all this even though it had begun to rain.
