Kathleen Edwards Instagram – A show offer came in a few months ago and I had to look up the location of the town, Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, because I had never heard of it before. I was thrilled to see it was 45 minutes away from my mother’s hometown Kirkland Lake, Ontario, where I spent many summers visiting family and enjoying time at a little cottage my grandfather bought back in the 50’s. I excitedly called my mother to tell her about the show in RN and found out a wonderful thing: once a week my mother and her friend would take the bus to Rouyn-Noranda for their piano lesson…. Piano lessons that would lead to my mother’s lifelong musical journey, including teaching music, and of course, passing onto me the same joy and passion for music. 🎸🎹 | Posted on 05/May/2022 19:52:25
