Happy July, everyone! This has been a great summer so far, and I’m thrilled to be playing a ton of shows in August, starting at the Canmore folk festival on August long weekend and then off to Vancouver to play a show with the @thewarondrugs ! August 18 is at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto with @bahamasmusic and @wilco ⚡️ more shows to announce soon!

A show offer came in a few months ago and I had to look up the location of the town, Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, because I had never heard of it before. I was thrilled to see it was 45 minutes away from my mother’s hometown Kirkland Lake, Ontario, where I spent many summers visiting family and enjoying time at a little cottage my grandfather bought back in the 50’s. I excitedly called my mother to tell her about the show in RN and found out a wonderful thing: once a week my mother and her friend would take the bus to Rouyn-Noranda for their piano lesson…. Piano lessons that would lead to my mother’s lifelong musical journey, including teaching music, and of course, passing onto me the same joy and passion for music. 🎸🎹
I am very VERY excited for February. Many of my heroes. On a boat where they can’t escape me. 😉
This week I’m in Texas with @johnboymusic and we are so happy to be finally playing these three show. I’ve brought my sweet pal @willrharrison to play guitar with me, singing Failer songs (brought shirts and vinyl) and doing my best not to eat all the tacos. Come! I’d love to say hi after the shows ❤️🌟❤️
A week today! Come to Prince Edward County and have dinner and then see me play. Magical location…. Great food, great drinks, great music (let’s not debate this right now) and the show is early enough to drive home before you turn into a pumpkin! Come!! So excited for this show. K
