You learn each other’s peccadilloes and niceties and no longer can you hide in the closet of your formalities: your unconscious, social habits. The platform raises the stakes: what are you made of and are you willing to get past your default tattletales and reveal who might be underneath? You have to open yourself up which is part of the survival of being away from family, from friends, the softness of home, familiarity, the ground of habit,the laughter of your children, the roar of a vintage motorcycle, your wife’s feet touching your leg under the covers at night.
