April Jeanette Mendez Instagram – This is how I recharge my mental health after a speech. I’m an extroverted introvert, so I fricken love meeting new people and fans, learning about their stories and perspectives, and speaking in front of large crowds. It makes me so happy. But then my battery gets zapped and I need to recharge in a comforting cocoon of chocolate, carbs, and alone time. I used to be an introverted introvert who couldn’t make eye contact with strangers so this is huge progress for me. Thank you for a special day @namimaine and every beautiful fan who gave me your time and effort. There’s a lot of ways you can spend your Saturday, but you chose to learn about mental health and support a non profit that is saving lives. That makes you a mental health champion. Thanks for joining me on this mission, traveling from all over the country, and taking the time to write letters. I appreciate you! I also appreciate Ben and Jerry.
