It may not be thankful Thursday, but it’s still a day I’m incredibly thankful for. 8 years ago today I had surgery for a heart condition that I was born with but didn’t know about the majority of my life. It had always hindered me from ever being able to push myself as hard as I wanted and was one of the reasons I wasn’t able to reach my fitness goals. So today is a day I look back on as a fresh start, one that turned the tides, changed my life and allowed me to achieve goals I had only ever dreamed about.

Life and health are precious. Take time to be thankful for your life and the body that allows you to live it.
