Saturday was one of the hardest days of my life. I hoped and thought we would have more time, but we had to let our sweet Pupcake go. When her heart stopped, mine shattered. She was my best friend, my shadow, my little mini me. Everywhere I went, she followed. Todd said it was like there was an invisible leash attached to us. She loved me when I felt unlovable and wanted to be with me when no one else did. There is a hole in my heart and an empty space beside me without her. It’s a relief that her suffering is over and I’m honored to have been there in her last moments, holding her and telling her I love her. I will love her forever.
