To all the women who have never wanted to be mums. To all the women who are mums AND dads. To all the dads who are mums, too. To all the stepmums who step up. But not the wicked ones, obvs. To all the mums who may not have their children any longer for whom today will be filled with immeasurable pain. To all the women who long to be mums. Being a mum has been my raison d’être. But being a mum is not all that I am. I am a woman in my own right. You are no less a woman because you are not a mum.
