Fiann Smithwick Instagram – Just cradling a baby ichthyosaur skull.
This is the biggest skull I’ve found so far on the Jurassic Coast, and although it’s pretty massive, it’s only a juvenile of its species, Temnodontosaurus platyodon.
The biggest adults of this species had skulls that could get up to 2 metres long. Not sure I could cradle one of those.
