As well as being a single with @thebeatles, there have been many covers of George’s “Something”, including versions by the Godfather of Soul @jamesbrown and the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, @elvis.
“’Something’ was written on the piano while we were making the ‘White’ album. It didn’t go on the album because we’d already finished all the tracks. I gave it to Joe Cocker a year before I did it. This I suppose is my most successful song with over 150 cover versions. My favourite is the one by James Brown. When I wrote it, in my mind I heard @official.raycharles singing it.” – George
