Freida Pinto Instagram – Just last week, a kind elderly gentleman waiting to be seated before me at one of my favourite restaurants in Austin did a double turn when he saw me. I smiled politely because I knew he was going to say something like “Haven’t I seen you before” or “You look like someone I know”. But then he made me smile even harder as he exclaimed without hesitation, “LATIKA!”

It’s been 14 years since Slumdog Millionaire premiered worldwide and a lot has changed except for the fact that I’m still recognized as Latika. Latika will always be a part of me and I couldn’t have been more grateful for the jumpstart Slumdog gave me.
