Soon we will celebrate freedom with @coldplay in Azadi (freedom) stadium in Tehran. That day we dont need to die wanting to go to a concert. That day we will be hand in hand, men and woman, dancing and singing our heart out. Thank you « Uli » for always being there for me. Thank you @masoudjamali for facilitating this event for us. Thank you @chloe for always being a supporter of persian women. Thank you « shermineh » my precious friend for holding space. Thanks to every single individual helping us echoing the voice of people in Iran. And @shervinine for channeling the soundtrack of our revolution.
Revolutions have roots in peoples wounds. In their pain and suffering from oppressors. Revolutions are personal. Of course they are. If they happen to be successful, forgiveness will come to heal those wounds in peoples heart. Revenge won’t bring back the martyrs… won’t bring back burnt lives… burnt generations… the only thing that would set a nation free from suffering is forgiveness.

I took my veil off in 2008 on the red carpet of body of lies ( how ironic the name of this movie sounds today ) I got criticized, insulted, threatened and banned by both people and all my colleagues, by almost everyone. Today my friend @taraneh_alidoosti did the same and she is a Hero in the eye of masses of people. This shows the society has evolved tremendously. Today Iran is not even comparable with 14 years ago. Iran is having an evolved revolution unlike the one in 1979. This revolution can not be hijacked, stollen, destroyed by anybody. This revolution has the texture of women, of humanity, of the brave courageous free generation Z. Who are willing to die for Woman Life Freedom. من روسرى را در سالِ ١٣٨٧ بر روى فرش قرمز اندامى از دروغ برداشتم (اسم اين فيلم امروز چه مفهومِ ايهام آميزى دارد) و زمين و زمان همه جوره فحش و فضاحت بارم كردند. تهديدم كردند. همكارانم مرا تحريم كردند و حتى در ملا عام جواب سلامم را نميدادند. امروز دوستِ نازنينم ترانه همين كار را كرد و قهرمان شد. اين نشان ميدهد مردمِ ايران با همين ١٥ سالِ پيش زمين تا آسمان فرق كرده اند. اين انقلاب انقلابِ رشد و تكامل و تحولِ ملتِ بزرگِ ايران است و رو به آزادىِ حقيقى و برابرى خواهد شتافت. اين انقلاب دزديده نخواهد شد و هرگز به فنا نخواهد رفت. اين انقلاب انقلابى زنانه، انقلابى انسانى، انقلابى است از جنسِ دهه ى هشتادى هاى شجاع و دريادل. آنها كه جانشان را براى آزادىِ زن و زندگى گذاشته اند

Une grande partie de l’absurdité de ma vie ce sont ces contradictions. Le deuil national et la révolution dans mon pays natal et une comédie romantique dans mon pays adoptif. L’inspiration de cette coïncidence pour moi c’est qu’aucun régime dictature réussira à supprimer la joie d’un people.
