Happy World Ballet Day! This is a picture of me when I got to be part of a charity version of The Nutcracker done by the Oakland Ballet! I was doing The Best Damn Sports Show at the time, so I was asked along with baseball stars @cc_sabathia & @barryzitomusic (and manager Tony LaRussa) to be a part of the show to help raise money for charity. And since I danced in my youth, I was given an extra part during the show with the professional ballet dancers! What a privilege. I literally flew in for rehearsals straight from a USO Tour in the Middle East. I was exhausted, but it was well worth it! It’s still a memory I will cherish forever! 🩰♥️

Playing the piano is fun for me. I’m not very good, but I’m keeping up with both my kids who have been playing since they were 4. 😆🥳 It’s relaxing and I can see progress as long as I practice and stay consistent. Happy Thursday everyone!

The Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye. Scotland has some of the most magical landscapes I have ever seen, and I’ve been around the world! It’s a hike to the top, but this is the way to get past most of the crowds. And we may or may not have dunked our faces in a pool to see if some of that fairy magic wears off on us! 🤭😜🧚🏼♀️✨

So my baby boy is 9 today! My smart, kind, sweet boy. I found this funny video going through my phone today. Chris was actually filming while I was doing something else. I heard him trying to say something else, but this kept coming out! 😆🤭 In the end, he was trying to get out, ‘Oh, sit down.’ 😜 HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON! You made me a mama and I love you so much! ♥️ (BTW, he’s almost 2 in this video) 🥳🎉

So Kaia, my 6 year old, asked if she could take cello this year in school. It’s the first year that strings are offered to the kids. Her brother started taking violin last year and loves it. I thought she would pick violin too, but nooooo. I *think* it may have something to do with mommy’s love of @2cellosofficial and taking her to see them this past April at the Hollywood Bowl! 😜🤭 It was her first concert at the Bowl and she loved it! Mommy loved it too! 🎉
More from summer vacation. This time, it’s Stirling Castle. So much history here. Mary Queen of Scots was crowned here when she was only 6 days old. She came back in adulthood when her son James VI took up residence here. (He ruled Scotland as James VI and then was the first ruler of both Scotland and England, also known as James I. Confusing I know. He was the first Monarch to be called the King of Great Britain, and was also the reason we have the King James Bible). The Battle of Stirling and Bannockburn were fought within sight of the castle walls. (Think the Robert the Bruce, William Wallace and Braveheart era)… King James V even had a statue put outside the Royal Palace of himself disguised as a common man or farmer. He was known to walk amongst his subjects like this. (See if you can spot it in the video!) If you love history as much as I do, you’ll love reading about this place! It’s also known as the gateway to the Highlands of Scotland.
