Michelle Clunie Instagram – Five years ago today my Father passed away. I was so broken hearted, I felt like I was having a heart attack. I called my GP and after every test and EKG imaginable he said I had the heart of a 28 year and what was going on? I told him my father passed away and he said you truly have a broken heart- it’s a real thing. I still cry once in awhile at the most bizarre moments. I still talk to my father as if he is simply ‘waiting for me in the other room’. I keep him close and I know he is hovering around me and Dashiell as the fierce protector he always was. Grief is funny. True grief leaves a hole in your heart but over time you no longer fall into the hole, you simply learn to live with it. I guess this is the price we pay for loving.
