I’m fucking exhausted from a lifetime of begging for respect. I am disturbed and angry that we have to keep bleeding out the same basic principles of our humanity so that people will simply give us the space to survive. I’m rattled by the humiliation we are expected to endure as folks mock and challenge our very existence. I hope you’re taking care of your mental health. I hope you’re pursuing pleasure and safely finding ways to reduce your pain. I hope you are connecting with your ability to transcend. I hope you are reaching out to other trans and non-binary folks to reflect your beauty and your power with each other. Protect the divinity within you. Protect the holy center of your being. This is why they taunt us. They see the magic in us and they wish they had an ounce of it. They know they wouldn’t last a minute in our shoes, so they push us to the edge to test just how much we can take. Don’t let them extinguish you. Do everything you can to survive.
