Sydney Ozerov-Meyer Instagram – Had a chat with @el_rays_of_sunshine and @lindsaysomers aka @intimacycoordinatorscanada about the importance of Intimacy Coordinators on set and the process of working with one. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Lindsay on two sets now and it is an absolutely vital role. Not only does an IC work to address comfort, consent and to encourage open communication. They are a safe place to turn to if you are EVER uncomfortable, want to change your mind or draw your boundaries. They are sensitive to personal trauma, they consider everyone’s needs and work to prevent and resolve conflict on set, and they make sure that everyone leaves feeling empowered and proud of their work. I cannot say strongly enough what a vital role this is on set. We were able to shoot my first ever simulated sex scene in an extremely unconventional way with the grace of @intimacycoordinatorscanada @iancarpenter99 @amartinon @scott_mcclellan and @_adammacdonald on this day and I left feeling completely comfortable.
