Valery M. Ortiz Instagram – Hola amigos! It’s been a while. Well, haven’t posted since I celebrated my bday! Time is undoubtedly going faster! I feel “old” even saying that haha but am I right?! Wow!
Watching this I feel so lucky to have been able to celebrate so much life this month! New adventures, beautiful experiences, lots and lots of love which inadvertently also makes loss hurt so much. Mi abuelo is reunited with mi abuela, my tio Carlos, and the rest of our family who’ve passed on. My heart breaks but through this devastating experience I was also reminded of how much of a strong, compassionate, forgiving boss lady my mom is. Not all heroes wear capes. She truly amazes me.
So as I get ready to celebrate 38 plus 1 month of being on this Earth, I am *super* grateful for life, for all the love that surrounds me while I’m so far away from family, and the strong Puerto Rican roots that run deep through my veiny skin. 😂🤷🏽♀️
