Shenaz Treasurywala Instagram – The Bandra I grew up in was filled with old Catholic and Parsi cottages. There were trees everywhere. We woke up to birds 🦅 chirping.There were barely any cars in Bandra when I was a child and when a car passed everyone ran to the balcony to see who’s passing:) My dad grew up in Bandra too. At that time Bandra was a forest with a gorgeous 9 hole Golf Course. He had to fight snakes to get to his school – St Stanislaus. What is Bandra today? First they came for our cottages and bungalows and now every second building is getting demolished and redeveloped. Even the roads are being “up graded” Why? The roads were cute and cobblestoned and just fine! BUTThe BMC has to spend the funds sothey work all day and night – blaring horns, truck sounds, digging! I am paying rent on PALI HILL, “most expensive neighbourhood in Mumbai or India” – but hello, try taking a walk here or sleeping at night here, its IMPOSSIBLE. I haven’t slept in 20 days. ANDThe rent is suddenly double in this “upgraded Bandra” because the builders have displaced everyone from their apartments into other apartments. Supply is less, demand is more. Landlords have gotten greedy. I have a notice from my Landladies to get out in the middle of my lease. Not sure but perhaps because they know that they can double the rent now. And what are we paying for? Traffic, honking, construction! Everyone wants to be in Bandra but they have forgotten what made Bandra special in the first place. PS my family has been displaced twice – once when I was 13 and once 10 years ago- both times the builders wanted the cottages lived in. Since we didn’t own it, we were forced out even though my dad’s dad grew up in those bungalows. ( pagdi system ) Bandra is NOT bandra anymore. It’s Andhera! Yes, bandra is dying a slow death. And there is NOTHING anybody is saying or doing about it. RIP Bandra 😭 I miss you And no, maybe I was not being dramatic.#bandra #noisepollution #change Bandra, Mumbai
Shenaz Treasurywala Instagram – Who’s your favourite Prime Minister? This is the coolest museum I’ve been to in India. At first I was sceptical, I thought it would be propaganda but no, the PM Musuem showcases all the PMs since 1947

- Audio guides that help you understand the exhibit better -State of the art technology used to make things look interesting, informative and entertaining
- You can take selfies with any Prime Minister 
-Instruct the handwriting robot and get a quoted and signed memorabilia from any Prime Minister
-Be a part of the Unity wall
- See the Levitating national emblem rotating in the air
- Stroll around with your favourite PM with Augmented reality 
- Write a message on India Of dreams in 2047 – Experience India of the future through VR and although this was beautifully done – I don’t think the india of the future will look like that, the way we are going.
