You don’t truly appreciate something until it’s too late. On my quest to find the blessed Fox’s Party Rings (a delicious crunchy biscuit covered in icing sugar) which has taken me through the rainy streets of Dublin, I ventured into my local Aldi, SuperValu, Lidl, Tesco (3 of them), Maxol garage, SPAR … but to no avail. Today was not our day. We move on. The sun will rise tomorrow. The world will keep spinning and we will not give up. I’d like to thank you all for your continued support, kindness, thoughts and well wishes at this challenging time. I may not have found the biscuits, but I did find a new driving force in life, many fellow comrades from across the world and a muse that is set to burn for who knows how long. TBC … 🎉 💍

The Crew. Most of them are annoying. They talk too much, are too loud and wear too much glitter, but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. Jamie is Jamie. Olly’s too nice. The parrot is called Pip and the only one I actually care about. Sophia wears too much pink and thinks she’s all that. Lauren takes spontaneous dips when she’s supposed to be on shift. Lily’s fit. Rosie and Cormac are two of the tallest people I’ve ever met in my life. Literal giants with great cheekbones. Other observations: the work is insufferable, but I enjoy the breaks. More anon, Vivian. An ode to the young woman I drove past in Belfast late on Friday night … She was crying on the phone as she walked along. An uncontrollable heartbreaking cry that feels like your entire world’s just collapsed in on itself and things will never be good again. We’ve all had those moments. Look after yourselves, look after each other. You might not physically be able to be with someone when these things happen, but there will always be someone on the other end of the phone to cry your heart out to wherever you find yourself. Stay safe, stay kind, stay curious xx
Bought a second hand @lowdenguitars from Owen at @someneck that came with a quare history, then met some pals in Phoenix Park. I think there’s something lovely about this guitar being born in Co. Down, travelling the world for years and then finding herself in Dublin where I pick her up to return home again to Co. Down. I love a good story
