We made this movie over zoom at the height of the pandemic. My friend Peter Hedges (who directed Pieces of April, I was 16 and also met @johngallagherjunior for the first time) wrote these connected stories about life in the world then. It’s full of beautiful performances from truly incredible actors. And it’s coming to a couple of theatres soon! More details to come.

If you think you know @real_sharpton , you will get a really intimate glimpse of the ways you don’t. It’s a beautiful, moving film. This man has been making the invisible visible for decades. Bringing attention to things a lot of people would rather not pay attention to. Like racism. Misogynoir. The ‘progressive’ cities full of regressive ideas. What activism really means and what it takes. And stay for the credits because there’s a f*cking great song by @joyoladokun .
Oh. My. Gosh. If you have a chance to see @joyoladokun , do yourself the biggest favour and see her live. I got literal goosebumps, I was moved and excited and laughed and shed a couple of tears. So thrilled to be in the presence of magic like this.
Help some of my friends raise money for @abortionfunds ! These funds are essential for providing the health care that pregnant people need. I went through a pregnancy loss, and needed a D and C because my body still thought I was pregnant. If I was living in a different state at a different time, my doctor would have had to wait for sepsis to set in before treatment. Abortion is health care. These funds will help save lives. Give what you can!
