Thank you to my coach and all my comrades at @gracemoonarts who held me accountable to be able to tell the story, for manifesting @hmzlhq and I working in a film together years ago. Every part of it – the late night/early morning coachings, acting with one of my closest friends, being in Pakistan was a dream.
To the entire MMMS team – thank you for the opportunity to work and live in Pakistan. It meant not only the world to me, but my parents who’ve never been able to visit their place of ancestry. I got to see Pakistan with my eyes for their hearts.
I loved that most of the heads of departments were women, taking their rightful place. You all taught me so much – mostly, about service.
To Pakistan – I have never met people who’ve more selflessly been in service. Finding joy in service. Something in my bones that I’m now so clearly reminded of. Thank you for reminding me of the woman I’m supposed to be – not yet am, but in the journey.
