In 2012, I was watching Coolio from side stage at a festival in Australia. He had such great energy and the crowd was in the palm of his hand. He started walking in my direction, asking me to come out and dance. I was hesitant, knowing my abilities. I told him I wasn’t very good. He pulled me on stage and we danced and we laughed and as he walked me back to side stage, he whispered and chuckled, “you aren’t a very a good dancer…” and it felt kind. Thank you for sharing this moment with me, Coolio. Love to you and your family and fans. RIP

The We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong (Deluxe Edition) includes two new songs – Never Gonna Change and When I Die – along with Porta and Used To It, released earlier this year. All four songs are available on vinyl for the very first time.
I co-produced this record with my dear friend Dan Knowles (@daggasound) and added some super special details to the deluxe edition – including handwritten lyrics to Darkness Fades etched into side D, an o card/slipcover designed by Miles Johnson (@_staticparty), trifold jacket with new portraits, and a large fold out poster taken by the lovely Michael Schmelling (@40worth) ! X

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but we kick things off at the Sydney Opera House. My first time ever headlining the proper Concert Hall. Following that up with more shows in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne.

Returning to the SUP for Meredith 30 is a dream and we will do our own Melbourne show as well at the Northcote Theatre. Bonus! And, to be back in Western Australia is so exciting. I remember celebrating New Years Eve @ Southbound in Busselton with you all in 2013. On the same tour, I met Tim Rogers and Jack Ladder at A&I Hall in Bangalow. We ended up making music together a few years later.
Australia is so dear to my heart. Panama Festival, Dark Mofo. So many fond memories with all of you. Looking forward to making more in 2022! So happy to say I’ll be seeing you soon!!

This has been my family for the past 5 weeks. They have been my therapists, siblings, parents, teachers. I’ve felt nothing but supported and cared for. So many people have worked so hard towards The Wild Hearts Tour. And while I’m excited to see my “real” family after being away for so long, I’m tearing up on the plane with conflicting feelings about parting ways. Thank you, Angel, Julien, Quinn, our bandmates, the crew. None of this would have happened without this exact team. I love you. Let’s do it again. X
