At the @cityofdavid you can visit what is known as the pilgrims road. This Jerusalem road which was uncovered by archaeologists is said to have been used by Jewish pilgrims obeying the biblical commandment to travel to Jeruslaem three times a year for a temple sacrifice – Passover, Shavuot (Pentecost) and succoth (feast of tabernacles)
For Jews the final stages of they long journeys would begin at the pool of Siloam a giant mikveh (ritual pool) where a cleansing and preparation would be practiced before heading to the Temple Mount. This is the same pool Jesus instructed the blind man to Go and wash the mud of His eyes to regain his site in John’s Gospel. Does Jesus meet this man on this road? According to the gospel account we known Jesus has just left the Temple Grounds before this powerful encounter. Does Jesus instruct a blind man to go the opposite direction of the crowds making there way to the temple so he can be healed. It seems so. Either way I am standing on a road that Jesus himself would have travelled along and used. And also the same road that this blind man most likely travelled down to finally see.
The evidence here also suggestions that Along this road Judean locals would have had shops to trade with all those making their way to the temple.
The historian Josephus says 2,000 ago, on the pilgrimage festivals, there would have been more than 2 million people going up on pilgrimage.
This road and the pool of Siloam were hidden for almost 2,000 years. 2,000 years! Forgotten underground. Hidden from our sight.
But today we can see them and have even more confidence in the events told in the Bible and the gospels of Jesus the messiah.
@palmsundaysco is also back – so if you would like to grab a beanie for yourself or a friend order today and it’s ships next working day!

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The video is from @auschwitzmemorial & the images from @majdanek.memorial both death camps during the Holocaust.
The Holocaust happened because the world turned a blind eye to the demonic hatred towards Jewish people for being Jewish.. that very same spirit tries to revive itself again today under different banners but with the same hate-filled, lying rhetoric.
My heart is with the nation of Israel and the Jewish people today as they remember & as they mourn those who were lost and those they love who were forever changed because of human evil.
May Hashem be your rock and your refuge

Some of the major events that took place near this body of water. If you would like to see it join me on my next tour in April 1-8th 2023 link in bio
1. The crossing of the Israelites into the Promised Land under the leadership of Joshua (Joshua 3:1-17).
2. King David will accept shimei’s plea for forgiveness after David’s son Absalom’s attempted coup fails. Shimei was guilty of cursing God’s anointed as David fled Jerusalem over the mount of olives (2nd Samuel 19:19)
3. Elijah’s ascension to heaven on a chariot of fire (2 Kings 2:8-14) Enoch of the book of genesis shares a similar experience to Elijah
4. Elisha’s miracle of parting the waters of the Jordan river repeating what Elijah had previously done after Elijah had ascended to heaven and asked for a double portion of His masters spirit (2 Kings 3:14-20).
6. The healing of Naaman the leper in the river Jordan (2 Kings 5:1-14). Jesus will reference this event in the synagogue of Nazareth
7. baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist to fulfill all righteousness (Matthew 3:13-17)
@palmsundaysco clothing and accessories orders are back in full swing 25th of November! So if you would like to order something from my store and get it before the the end of the year, including this varsity jacket now is the time to place your orders!
I’m standing at the ancient ruins of Tel Shilo.. This was one of the most spectacular sunsets I have seen in Israel to date. My group was watching a interactive video inside the visitors center and I had a moment to take in this place and what God was doing with the people who lived here.
Hannah’s prayer would be answered here in first Samuel and Samuel the prophet would bring about a new age In the Israelite story. He would pave the way for a king to be anointed.
It’s been a long year for me, I’m exhausted. I’m writing this caption at yet another airport lounge waiting for yet another delayed flight.
But tomorrow when I return to Sydney I’m going to set myself another challenge. A 35 day Old Testament task. And I want you to join me. From genesis to Malachi read for an hour and a half each day to get through God’s story before the messiah would enter into our stories.
Follow @palmsundaysco for my person insights each day
How lovely are your tents, O Jacob, and your dwellings, O Israel! Like valleys they are spread out, like gardens beside a river, like aloes planted by Adonai, like cedars beside the waters.
Water will flow from his buckets, his seed by abundant water. His king will be greater than Agag, his kingdom will be exalted. God is bringing him out of Egypt. like the strong horns of a wild ox. He devours nations hostile to him. He will crush their bones. His arrows will pierce them. He crouches like a lion or a lioness— who would rouse him? He who blesses you will be blessed, and he who curses you will be cursed.
Numbers 24:5-9
It would do many nations and kingdoms well to read these words of Balaam carefully before continue to or considering to rise up against or oppose the sovereignty of a modern day Israel. First realize that the same God who brought them out of Egypt into the land 3,500 years ago Is the same God who brought them back as rightfully owners in 1948.

The highest point in ALL of Israel is Mount Hermon. I am standing at the peak of Mount Hermon in this photo.
And this is the location I believe most likely to be the place where Jesus would transfigure and reveal His true Glory to 3 disciples. It would also be here that Peter, James and John would see Jesus talking with Moses and Elijah.
Prior to this awesome event that is recorded in the gospels Jesus takes His disciples to Caesarea Philippi which sits at the bottom of this mountain range.
From here departing this mountain range Jesus will have a Jerusalem in His sights, which will lead him to his triumphant entry into the city of the great King.
But read what David writes about this mountain called Hermon in psalm 133
“A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard —Aaron’s beard— coming down on the collar of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon, coming down upon the mountains of Zion. For there Adonai commanded the blessing —life forevermore!”
Psalms 133:1-3
Unity and the blessing coming down.
Unity – Jesus with his core group and His prophets of old. Jesus reveals his true identity to the disciples and from here will enter Jerusalem to complete the work that The father had sent him to do. To make a way of salvation for the lowest and the greatest. For the Jew and the gentile.
From the highest mountain of israel to the holiest mountain of israel mount zion – Jesus will go!

Shabbat Shalom & here is a Friendly reminder that God did what He said he would do.
In Ezekiel 37:11-14
“Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say: ‘Our bones are dried up; our hope is lost; we are cut off—by ourselves.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them, thus says Adonai Elohim: ‘Behold, I will open your graves. I will bring you up out of your graves, My people. I will bring you back to the land of Israel. You will know that I am Adonai, when I have opened your graves and brought you up out of your graves, My people. I will put My Ruach in you and you will live. I will place you in your own land. Then you will know that I, Adonai, have spoken and that I have done it.” It is a declaration of Adonai.”
God brought them from among the nations back into the land God himself promised them, and that land is known as Israel in 2022.
Amen
He said it, he did it. Shabbat shalom from Jerusalem
“In your favor do good to zion. Build up the walls of Jerusalem. Then you will delight in righteous sacrifices and whole burnt offerings. Then bulls will be offered on your altar” psalm 51:20-21
King David wrote these words after his great fall, his failing, his missing of the mark.
He had a longing to be restored and be made whole again.
This psalm highlights the need, the issue the solution, the proof, the goal and the end result. Which is a focus not on his individual failings being corrected. But a reunification over all of Jerusalem.
God has started to do this very thing. And for all who call on the name of the Lord, there is one place our eyes should be fixed on.
Zion, Jerusalem and the Holy hill of the God.
Since the very beginning God has been challenging man’s very understanding of Who God Himself is. Time and time again the bible reveals man’s struggle to make perfect sense of God & God’s ways. The anticipated arrival of messiah would be no different. Based on man’s track recorded, it would be expected that most will miss it
That’s because the arrival of Messiah would once again challenge men & women, God consistently seems to do what is least expected when it comes to salvation – and this is no different
Messiah first appeared 2,000 years ago & It did not match with what the nation of israel was expecting then, nor does it match with what modern mankind desires to accept now. Both failed to see the real enemy. we as a collective group have a sin issue that separates us from God.
The messiah would appear first to both simultaneously save & suffer.
The New Testament highlights how First century Jews struggled to understand this paradigm; Peter the disciple puts this theological struggle on displace when he first proclaims Yeshua as the son of God In Caesarea Phillipi & then moments later He would attempt to rebuke Jesus’ need to go to Jerusalem to be killed
But far more challenging then a suffering messiah would be this; That Yeshua would Be both the true king of israel & the true God of Israel. That’s right the Messiah is God
King David hinted at this, 1000 years before Yeshua would be proclaimed as the one who comes in the name of the Lord on Palm Sunday. David wrote and prophesied about this very challenging reality through out many of his psalms & songs.
Psalm 5:3b – My King & My God, for I pray to you.
Psalm 110:1 – Adonai declares to my Lord: Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a foot stool for your feet”
God first needed to deal with the sin of man, so that all sinners could now come to see God’s great love for us.
The day of atonement where God proclaimed that a transfer of sin has taken place was the day Yeshua carried all our sins on the cross to the place known as Golgotha and gave up his life
The messiah will return & reveal himself to all people but those who believed without seeing this will be considered the most blessed
