It’s Finleys 3rd birthday! We didn’t pose for a photo this year as we were busy launching his birthday toy around the living room… so here’s last years pic featuring a rare @jackdaverooke T-shirt. HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAAAAAY! 📸- @itsbeadux

1. At the start of this years Films of the Year Podcast I talked about Dinner In America. It isn’t on the list purely because it came out in 2020 but it’s had staggered releases so it’s still KIND of a 2022 film. Either way, I mentioned it because not only would it have made my 2020 list had I seen it, but it’s straight into my all time favourite films list. Seek it out and watch it. 2. Similarly, I’ve had several people mentioned Boiling Point not being on my films of the year list. But that’s because it was on last years! Another film that had a bit of a staggered release as the hype built and built. But it’s essential viewing and I ranted about it loads in last years episode so give that a listen if you missed it.

A few weeks back I put out a TV shows of the year episode of the podcast. These were probably my three absolute favourites of 2022 (although, when questioned, there’s a whole load more that could wrestle their way onto the list). – The Bear (Disney over here) was probably the best debut series since The Shield. Just astounding TV. – Babylon Berlin (Sky/Now), season after season, just out punches every other show in production. Time after time. There’s honestly no show I enjoy more (and would like to be cast in more if they ever get any British characters in) – And The Traitors (BBC) was my 100%.

Tonight it’s Drunkast time with these two idiots. If you have any questions or things you’d like discussed, sling them below and then listen in and see if we just forget to check the socials as we normally do.
The end of the last episode of the drunkast is the best bit of podcasting I’ve ever been involved in.
And like that… it was over… for another year…
This is always one of the most popular episodes of the year and I bloody love hearing from you lot about which ones you’ve watched off the back of it. Out now. To be discussed for the rest of the year.
My films of the year list has been finalised, laminated and set in podcast history.
First guest of the year and it’s an absolute classic episode.
Today’s Distraction Pieces Podcast is with @ruthmadeley! The beauty of this podcast is I often get to chat with people that I’m basically just a huge fan of. Ruth’s performance in Year and Years is one that I both adored and studied trying to take in as many small details as I could. So when she was up for coming on the podcast I was delighted. And THEN… we had the most astounding conversation. We talk representation in a very honest and real manner, we talk about the exhaustion of perceived responsibility… but what really fired me up was simply Ruth’s story. The way her acting career came about was so organic and kind of unplanned which is always exciting to hear from someone so clearly talented. We recorded this in December but the second we finished I knew it had to get the coveted “first guest of the year” slot… Apple: http://apple.co/1x3xdy0 Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2yt5IBJ distractionpiecespodcast.com Or The Podcast tab at Scroobiuspip.co.uk #DistractionPiecesPodcast #DistractionPiecesNetwork #Team3W #podcast #acting #disability #disabilityawareness #representation
