The beauty of this podcast is I often get to chat with people that I’m basically just a huge fan of. Ruth’s performance in Year and Years is one that I both adored and studied trying to take in as many small details as I could. So when she was up for coming on the podcast I was delighted. And THEN… we had the most astounding conversation. We talk representation in a very honest and real manner, we talk about the exhaustion of perceived responsibility… but what really fired me up was simply Ruth’s story. The way her acting career came about was so organic and kind of unplanned which is always exciting to hear from someone so clearly talented.
We recorded this in December but the second we finished I knew it had to get the coveted “first guest of the year” slot…
