His crime? Using his music to be a voice for the people of Iran. His lyrics speak of the injustice and oppression of the Islamic Regime. He has been charged with crimes related to his music, and protesting, that carry the death sentence. He is at risk of execution for standing up for his people.
Can you imagine if the U.S. Government threw Pac, NWA, or Childish Gambino in jail for their lyrics calling out injustice in America? Or for speaking out and marching in solidarity with their people?
