Michelle Clunie Instagram – Dashiell earned his Blue belt!! I told him I was proud of him but I also pointed out that what I really love is that he does it all while keeping his integrity as a gentleman. I think sportsmanship is important. I believe you can’t be a great leader of a team unless you have a certain humble confidence and a respect for your fellow team members. Sure you might stand out once in awhile or win some hardware here or there but if you want to be great, I truly believe it is the integrity with which you study and the respect you bring to whatever it is you are doing. I see Dashiell has that. Keep that Dashiell. Remember it is not those with all the bluster or the braggarts who finish boot camp but the ones who doubt themselves at times or know they have to work harder or the ones who care about their friends.. those are the ones you want on the battlefield of life with you.
