HELLO,
My new song titled Weekend Parent is OUT. At first, I started writing this song about having divorced parents…but as I spent more time with it, it started to take a turn.
And instead of just being about divorced parents, it started shaping itself into being a kid and seeing the world as this beautiful, harmless place. Being a kid and having blinders on, by being protected by your parents, and not seeing how shitty the world can be. As you grow up, you realize how fucked up things were as a kid, and still are. There are also hints about being reluctant to grow up in the song. Growing up is trippy, but I’ve been enjoying it, even though I’m an immature lil bish.
Thank you for reading and listening. Also huge thanks to Griff Clawson, for helping me write and produce, Scotty Sire for helping me write the second verse, and Sammi Smith for helping with not only photos, but the creative and lyric video too!!
MUCH LOVE,,

Growing Up Again
I’m starting to care about things like posture.
I’m starting to care about things like the newest updates on Excel (I don’t even use it anymore!)
Lately I’ve been thinking about scheduling my haircuts a few weeks in advance
I wait until I see the garage close all the way before I leave the house.
I have one of those razors that you don’t throw away.
I know what the IRS stands for. I know my blood pressure.
I knew this day would come
when I’d save gas receipts in a folder.
I knew this day would come
when I’d save my smiles for special occasions and save used zip lock bags for my vitamins.
I knew this day would come
when I became a boring adult,
so I saved
a tab of acid in my sock drawer next to a yellow bouncy ball and a Talking Heads CD.
I stick out my tongue
and just that
is enough to make me feel like a kid
again.
