Bonjour Instagram 👋🏻 I’m sorry I’ve been neglecting you lately, I’ve just been in total hibernation mode and not in the mood for the emotional onslaught of social media, or the world in general! 😵💫 It’s been a strange year pour moi, so many major lifestyle changes that are exciting but equally overwhelming. When I go out in public I feel like a cake that’s been taken out of the oven too soon. I feel like I’m regenerating. If I was braver I’d build myself a nest in the forest and fuck off there for the winter months. I won’t, I’ll be on the couch instead learning to knit (hope my friends like snoods!) but just know if you interact with me in the cold months, I am a half formed creature 🥴 anyway, hope you’re all coping. On an unrelated note, pictured is the most fabulous coat I’ve ever owned, courtesy of @unreal_fur it is SO beautiful it gives me an inferiority complex, so mostly I keep it hung up on the wall and I admire her from below but if you are an unspeakably glamorous dame who is disgusted by the idea of animals being killed for your self expression, then do invest in an @unreal_fur coat 😍

Just looking back on some of my favourite hoop routines & tricks from 2022… I don’t know where I’d be without my aerial practice but let’s not find out 🙂 Thank you to all my amazing teachers this year @genevievecircus @clare_in_the_air @zackkattackked @maisiewhitehead @katherinehardwick @cirquejoel @morganbarbour and the many others whose classes I’ve dropped into. And @circus_belle who I miss but who always lends me her expertise and keen eye for beauty. It is the greatest indulgence and biggest blessing to learn from such talented artists and kind teachers 💗 Ironically, spinning around a metal hoop has been the most centred I’ve felt all year. I have felt so ‘off centre’ in my personal/professional/social lives and been scrambling to establish a sense of normality. It all feels like uncharted territory, which my mind doesn’t relish. I am having to learn to slow down and be in the moment with everything, rather than reacting with the fight/flight response and then rushing every conversation, every interaction, every meal, every audition, every book, etc. I rush things so that I can get through them so that they’ll be done and it won’t all feel so overwhelming, but I actually don’t want to ‘get through’ all of life. It could all be over all of a sudden! I want to be present more, and centred 🌀 I had a major ‘aha!’ moment a couple weeks ago from something @zackkattackked said. We were working on spinning and ‘finding the centre’ and Zaki said ‘you don’t force your way to the centre, you have to let your body find it’ and it was just 🤯 It was crazy what a difference it made to relax and feel my way to that still point of the spin, rather than just trying to GET THERE. I’ve been trying to force my way back to my centre for months and all it’s done is make me dizzy 😵💫 so here’s to presence and another year of spinning and circus and finding one’s own centre amidst the chaos whirling around us 🌪️
Hi everyone, @evannalynch here with the @bosh.tv team! 👋 Recently BOSH! invited me to their kitchen to veganise some childhood favourite recipes. Apple pie (or apple tart as we call it) is a baking staple of my mum’s, but I’ve never attempted to make a vegan version – until now! BOSH! helped me make an apple pie with a twist, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 🤤 I shall be making this again and again for my family & friends! The recipe for this Apple Crumble Pie is up now for you to give it a try 🍏✨ Check out the link in the @bosh.tv bio to find it 🎉 Merry Christmas & happy holidays 💫 😘 #veganchristmas #applepie #applecrumble #vegan #recipe #vegandessert #food #christmas
It’s Veganuary so I thought I would blast the feed with some colourful vegan fare 😍 🍐🍏🍓🥕🍪🍮🥗🥐🥑 …and to remind anyone new to veganism that you don’t have to ‘give up delicious food to be vegan. In fact, you absolutely shouldn’t! To me veganism is a celebration of life, a rejection of violence rather than a rejection of delicious food. Veganism can be defined by what you DO eat, rather than what you don’t. It’s not a diet! It takes time and practice to make it your normal everyday lifestyle but the secret is to think abundantly and cook creatively. For inspiration, here are a few companies, books and restaurants that made my 2022 very sensuuuuually satisfying 🤤 1) @cakeordeathldn the BEST brownies in the U.K. delivered through your letterbox 😍 2) @oddboxldn who are fighting food waste by rescuing all the oddly shaped and surplus fruit & veg. Thanks to them I have fresh juice and soup practically coming out my ears 🌈 3) @loveraw the most delicious vegan chocolate. It’s possible I say that about every ethical vegan chocolate brand, but I genuinely mean it every time. I ❤️ chocolate. 4) Pizzas by the fantastic @oneplanetpizza 🍕 5) A 3-tier red velvet cake I made from @thelittleblogofvegan amazing baking book. The key to a 3 tier cake I have learned is…patience. You have to wait for it to completely cool or else it cascades down all 4 tiers of your fridge. Holly’s gorgeous book answers all the vegan baking questions. 6) & 7) Two vegan pasta recipes from @thezestylime cookbook ‘Vegan Pasta’. Everything I try from this book is a hit right away, I bow down to Rebecca the vegan pasta master 🙌🏻 8) A feast at my new fav restaurant in Aldgate @alter_ldn I am so sorry my photo doesn’t do the food justice, I was too eager to eat it. 9) A classic at @mildredsrestaurants ☺️ 10) An oracle card I pulled recently from the Denise Linn ‘Sacred Travellers’ deck to remind me to enJOY life and embrace the senses. Funnily enough I pulled this while on a spiritual retreat where we were fasting. Which only deepened MY spiritual commitment to eat mindfully and joyfully. So I went home and baked brownies 🙂 Happy Veganuary and Bon ap’! 💚

With the gorgeous cast & crew of Under The Black Rock at @arcolatheatre yesterday. What can I say but that I ♥️ them all so much!! It’s been an extremely invigorating and stressful 3 weeks. The work and the energy and the heart they’ve all shown every day in rehearsals has inspired and pushed me so much. Got more than a bit overwhelmed by it all yesterday and went to that dark corner in my head, before I was reminded that I am one of a team and we all keep each other upright. I don’t think I’ve ever acknowledged to myself before how scary live theatre is, but something about this team has taught me to trust that there is support there when you ask for it. Under The Black Rock is on now until March 25th at The Arcola. Directed by @mr_bkav_ & written by @timedge44 Ticket link in my bio. Check out @undertheblackrockofficial for more info and behind the scenes moments. 📸 by @ghaneyphotos #UnderTheBlackRock #Arcola #theatre #Londontheatre

Good morning from the best face in the world!!! 😺🌻 ♥️ This winter I started sleeping with 3 blankets and it improved my whole sleep life (you know your feet don’t HAVE to feel like they are decaying of frostbite in winter?!) but the downside is Mademoiselle Puff who leads a life of leisure and pleasure also loves it so much that she buries herself in deep and refuses to get out of bed until mid afternoon so I can never make the bed anymore and I go about my day with this vaguely unsettled feeling that my messy bed is a terrible precedent for the morning and forebodes a messy day and life! But the truth is I would let Puff chew off my right arm if she fancied it so this is how we live now. Happy Friday 😘
