This is Bart the Fart, Barticus Rex, Phat Fart…an unexpected adoption about 8-9 years ago. He is the very best set dog, no leash needed, loved by all Fosters, especially Annie, who always stole him from my dressing room and made up a special bed for him in the wardrobe trailer 🤗 He is by far the happiest, most loyal doggie I’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing life with. I’ve never done this before but my daughter’s former nanny, Amber Johnson, who is a huge part of who Bayley is today, has organized this for her dear friend Lindsey, who has the most rewarding, yet most demanding job of being a stay at home mom, and her son Landon. As an animal lover who’s rescued and fostered many pets throughout my life, I wanted to share an incredible concept that’s underway in Texas. @FidusPet are two dog-centric apartment communities in Dallas-Fort Worth where all friendly dogs are welcome — no matter their breed or size. These apartments are equipped with dog doors to private and secure yards for outdoor time, along with cameras so owners can check-in on their family members when they’re not at home. If you need to leave town or even get stuck at work or an appointment, they have on-site walking and pet-sitting services. AMAZING! It’s also Fidus’ mission to help get at-risk animals into homes. They partner with local animal shelters and rescues to host adoption events in their communities and encourage residents to foster dogs through an on-site program. This is a wonderful idea that’s such a compassionate solution for both animals and humans.
