Yael Stone Instagram – Tony Barry has moved to his next iteration in the big mysterious beyond. I had the pleasure of travelling through the wilds of Tasmania/Litruwita with him for work this year. We did the 4 hour or so trip a number of times and every time Tony told a thousand stories and a recited a poem here and there. I don’t pretend to have known him well, just that my time with him felt special. He was cheeky and heartfelt. He seemed to really care about the world, about equality, about bringing kindness and warmth – impressive at that age, navigating a body in pain- still engaging every stranger full of possibility for friendship. Acting is an amazing job. You go places you might never go otherwise and connect with people you might otherwise never know. Tony’s life seemed to be full of the adventures that acting brings – I am so grateful to be reminded of that. Grateful for my time with Tony and all the beautiful people that come to us in a life making stories. Sending my love to Tony’s family and friends.
