A devastating earthquake has left many in Southern Turkey and Northern Syria in desperate need of help. Beyond the tragic loss of life, hundreds of thousands have been left homeless and with immediate needs – after widespread damage to residential buildings and infrastructure across an area of around 350,000 km².
With rescue operations having concluded, efforts have since turned to supporting the survivors with shelter, food, medical assistance and community rebuilding.
Running from 16 March – 30 March, the latest edition of @picturesforpurposeorg supports Ahbap, the most active grassroots voluntary aid @ahbap in Turkey, and @the_whitehelmets, a humanitarian volunteer organisation operating in Syria.
