My oldest is 10!! I wanted to post these photos because I posted one earlier and all my Haven friends messaged- totally amazed at how much he has grown! I also wanted to post as a actress Mama. Looking back at these pictures I see a slice of life, a mom and a dad navigating this nomadic Gypsy life. My husband was so supportive and insistent on being there in the trailer for his son. My driver was running endless trips back and forth. My sitters were so fantastic. My family and his grandparents stepped in when we needed help. My producers made it happen and my son put up with the traveling life and now has it in his blood. I’m sure I’m forgetting people – because well, life. BUT it does take a village and it is possible. To all who think that it isn’t and it interrupts, my children have enriched my art and been a blessing of Joy and perspective. Ten years – quite a decade… very thankful for you son, such a welcome gift and surprise. #workingmom #takesavillage #actressmom

Billy and Kendra have been fans of Emily for awhile now, last casting her in an episode of TAKE TWO a few years ago. Prior to that, Billy met Emily during the casting process for ABC’s BROTHERS & SISTERS.
And now Emily shares some advice:
*Serve & give your time, you will learn: Early on I asked if I could help a professor who then became my Mentor, Gordon Hunt, he connected me with my Manager, and gave me an opportunity to audition for Uncharted and coached me on auditions. Reading for him at casting sessions & Stage Managing for him taught me so much and opened doors, but it came from a genuine place of wanting to learn & help.
*Stick up for yourself and pay attention to your gut, you are usually right about what is right for you.
*Practically speaking I have found that I chose better outfits for my self-tapes if I take photos of them on my phone first. For some reason flipping through the photos in my camera roll gives me better insight into what others see rather than what I think in the mirror.
*Breath is important, nerves are helpful, and listening should not be skimmed over. The in-between — between what is being said in the scene, reveals if you are really present and can be trusted with the material.

FINALLY!
To say we have been waiting to tell everyone about this is an understatement. This show has been the seed of an idea in my dear friend @jillmurraynorth s mind for years.
One day at a comic-con hotel restaurant in Belfast, we sat and ate. She caught me up on what she was up to, and casually mentioned this show that she had been thinking about. Long story I can share another time, but back in the states she showed me all of her research and I was hooked.
I was hooked on Jackie Cochran, I was hooked on these Black and white photos that stared back at me, saying tell our story! “We are moms, we are girlfriends, we are teenagers, we are woman…. we are PILOTS, and we want to bring our men back home from war.”
Jill & I, with help from my wonderful managment team, formed a pitch, rehearsed the brains out of it, worked with some other wonderful collaborators, and had the wonderful opportunity to tell Renee Z about it — and she was hooked as well.
We have been working on this show, before Mercy was even a thought, and finally today — we get to officially say it’s in development at Peacock.
I’ve always loved collaborating, sometimes to the frustration of my producers 🙂 But now I know why. Because I love to create. And I can’t wait to bring these ladies and their stories to life, with such an incredible, talented group of women. @feliciadhen1 #susannawhite @big.pic.co @tolucapictures are all incredible!

Recorded this last week, as I was processing so many events— today being Easter, I thought I would post. In a season of fear came great hope. If you are fearful, you can hope again. Hey we get fearful of silly things (like posts 🤦🏼♀️) and fearful of huge legitimate things, that may cause us to be paralyzed — but we are asked to hope again, to encourage others to hope, and remain trusting even when hope seems impossible. I’m very thankful for art, instruments, poets, people who cried out (like the psalmist) and recorded it, because in that creative authentic expression – hope was passed on – and hope is ultimately life.
