Emily Rose Instagram – FINALLY! To say we have been waiting to tell everyone about this is an understatement. This show has been the seed of an idea in my dear friend @jillmurraynorth s mind for years. One day at a comic-con hotel restaurant in Belfast, we sat and ate. She caught me up on what she was up to, and casually mentioned this show that she had been thinking about. Long story I can share another time, but back in the states she showed me all of her research and I was hooked. I was hooked on Jackie Cochran, I was hooked on these Black and white photos that stared back at me, saying tell our story! “We are moms, we are girlfriends, we are teenagers, we are woman…. we are PILOTS, and we want to bring our men back home from war.” Jill & I, with help from my wonderful managment team, formed a pitch, rehearsed the brains out of it, worked with some other wonderful collaborators, and had the wonderful opportunity to tell Renee Z about it — and she was hooked as well. We have been working on this show, before Mercy was even a thought, and finally today — we get to officially say it’s in development at Peacock. I’ve always loved collaborating, sometimes to the frustration of my producers :) But now I know why. Because I love to create.
