Mary Katharine Ham Instagram – Found myself a little corner cabinet on Facebook Market and did a makeover this weekend. I know people have FEELINGS about painting wood furniture sometimes (I have an old radio cabinet I could kick myself for painting 10 years ago myself). But I felt comfortable this wasn’t an antique or anything. I love how it turned out, and I didn’t even buy new hardware because the original wood looked so nice against the paint. I’m now going to paint everything in my house black, BRB. It’s @sherwinwilliams Tricorn Black in velvet finish. I just Googled black paints people like and tried not to overthink it because I have been down that road with white paint twice and it is a rabbit hole from which you will emerge with… walls that are white but researched that would have been equally white if you hadn’t researched. Velvet is not as flat as Matte, but flatter than Eggshell and I might have gone up to Eggshell if I had it to do again just to make application easier. #paintitblack #cornercabinets
