We are doing Y2K Bingo with this picture I found of myself in the Year of our Lord, 2000! There are so many treasures here!

It occurs to me that we curate photographs so much now, and cropping and ‘shopping are so easy, we will lose a lot of these kind of treasures from our pics in this decade. A photo of me in 2000 is fine, but the background is really the good stuff. A time capsule! You may notice, among all the silliness, that there is also a copy of Strunk & White on my nightstand because it is timeless and on brand.

A math trick I learned while teaching my oldest her multiplication tables. I know many kids have a hard time just memorizing lists of numbers, so maybe this can help some of your kids, and if not, it’s just kinda cool!
My daughter really thrived once she had this trick to jog her memory. For other times tables, we use pictures and stories to help her remember (more on that if anyone’s interested) and slowly but surely, she’s getting to quick recall. It’s just a matter of how you get those things to stick in your brain, and different things work for different brains. Hope y’all enjoy this one even if you already know your 9s times tables. 😂

When you have a 6-yr gap between kids, you miss a lot of baby product innovation, so forgive me if y’all know this one. I discovered it by accident in the middle of the night and I was so happy!
Also, I’m training this baby to take a pacifier. The last one didn’t like one and neither did he right away, but I’m slowly convincing him. He’s a fussier baby than his sister and I figure this might cut my toddler crying by roughly 50% when they’re both irrational. I need tools! Me to Steve, who rightly notes if they never start a pacifier, you never have to break the habit: “We’ll worry about it when he’s 3!”

Perfecting the school drop-off for my big girls with 4 kids along for the ride. Today, we succeeded without much yelling and we treated ourselves with a little breakfast out and some park time. Park time for the third kid with a newborn brother requires some creativity, but she enjoys it because she has always been chill and independent!
Found myself a little corner cabinet on Facebook Market and did a makeover this weekend. I know people have FEELINGS about painting wood furniture sometimes (I have an old radio cabinet I could kick myself for painting 10 years ago myself). But I felt comfortable this wasn’t an antique or anything.
I love how it turned out, and I didn’t even buy new hardware because the original wood looked so nice against the paint. I’m now going to paint everything in my house black, BRB.
It’s @sherwinwilliams Tricorn Black in velvet finish. I just Googled black paints people like and tried not to overthink it because I have been down that road with white paint twice and it is a rabbit hole from which you will emerge with… walls that are white but researched that would have been equally white if you hadn’t researched. Velvet is not as flat as Matte, but flatter than Eggshell and I might have gone up to Eggshell if I had it to do again just to make application easier. #paintitblack #cornercabinets

Threw a Valentine’s Day shindig for the big girls and some friends this weekend. Almost bit off more than I could chew with all these girlies + a toddler and a baby, and yes, there was one semi-dramatic injury about 7 mins into the party. But I remained calm and this particular little girl was a warrior and wouldn’t let it get her down. Also, her mom was super chill about it. 🙌🏻 (How do you get blood out of a festive pink sweatshirt? Asking for a friend.)
My buddy @bypriscilahawn had me covered on decor and this fantastic idea for flower-arranging as an activity, so these young ladies got sent home to their moms with a pretty little bud vase.
A good time was had by all! 💗❤️💜
