Happy birthday to the Williamsburg Bridge! 🥳 The Williamsburg Bridge opened to traffic on December 19th, 1903 (118 years ago yesterday!) as the second span to cross the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn. At 1,600 feet long, it surpassed the Brooklyn Bridge as the longest suspension bridge in the world by 4 ½ feet. 🚉 @nyhistory #newyork_ig
