In order to be my authentic self I must embrace reality! Im 73, my hair is white, (a gentler way to say gray), and it takes me a while to get out of bed in the morning as Tony listens to my symphony of sounds and cracks!!! That is the main reason that I HAVE to stretch, lift weights, my attempt at Yoga, power walk 4 days a week and make healthy food choices! @itstroyjensen an extraordinary photographer that I worked with, gently suggested to me to stop coloring my hair and be who you are! These two photos are me plain and simple, no makeup, no color in my hair! As a matter of fact this photo was taken behind the salon where my hairdresser and friend @craiggangi took this photo after he cut and styled my hair. I’ve embraced and accepted that at this age I’m comfortable in my own skin. Lots of things to celebrate these next few weeks! In a few days Tony and I will celebrate our 38th anniversary❤️ followed by my 7th anniversary following my stem cell replacement after I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma! I have been in remission ever since! Then we are anxiously awaiting our daughter @alextcooks to return from vacation to celebrate her engagement. @itsnickdrake my future son-in-law proposed while there! :)!!!!we have more to share too with @ariannasalyards_ our youngest. It is a moving account of letters from nineteen men and women living with cancer. She put this emotional and touching anthology together with her Shanti Cancer support group to help raise funds.
