How can this oppressive regime possibly hold on to power when faced with a generation of fearless individuals like Sepideh Gholian?
It can’t.
After serving a four year and seven month sentence, Sepideh walks out of prison without wearing the mandatory hijab and fearlessly chants an anti-regime slogan, (second slide), fully aware of being recorded.
Security forces kidnap her just moments later. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
This type of immeasurable courage needs to be talked about and understood, because it is truly remarkable. And the patently preposterous actions of the regime in response to her defiance needs to be met with worldwide condemnation, not normalization.
I am in complete awe of these lionhearted revolutionaries who refuse to be intimidated or silenced by this ruthless regime, as they fight for their freedom and for a free Iran.
