Sepideh Moafi Instagram – Throughout the current uprising turned revolution in Iran, we’ve seen various forms of protest & solidarity in the diaspora & beyond — from sharing stories & footage to storming the streets in rallies and marches. Baraye Azadi will be an evening where we resist through art, food & joy, & celebrate the unparalleled warmth & beauty of Iran’s culture as we work to reaffirm, in the words of Edward Said, “the power of culture over the culture of power.” Join me on December 3rd as I host this exploration of Iran through the senses; featuring Iranian food, drink, live music & dance, poetry, & guest speakers Roya & Ladan Boroumand from @iranrights, as well as special recorded appearances by activists on the ground in Iran. Prepare to be moved! 💚🤍❤️ FOR TICKETS, LINK IN BIO 👆🏽 All proceeds will be donated to Abdorrahman Boroumand Center that does crucial human rights work in Iran.
