Genndy Tartakovsky Instagram – Well to celebrate the release of the Primal season 2 DVD here is a little board to final comparison of the Birth of Fangs babies. This one put a few people off but for me this is what animation is all about. Getting a chance to visualize a dinosaur giving birth and make it cinematic and emotional is why I love animation. I loved boarding it and making all the sounds as I was doing it, like an 8 year old kid playing with his dinosaur toys. Scott Wills color and lighting gave it the perfect mood. Joel Valentine’s subtle roars, Tyler Bates and Joanne Higginbottom’s moving score, and of course Studio Lacachettes animation made this one of my all time favorite things we’ve done in animation.
