Genndy Tartakovsky Instagram – I hired Aaron Springer during the second season of Samurai Jack and he turned in some of the funniest storyboards from the season. Aaron has his own very unique and amazing sense of humor and style of drawing. So when we were finishing he approached me with a tv show idea, Periwinkle. A simple premise of basically a cooky Platypus seeing the world and causing havoc everywhere he went. It sounded perfect to me and what I like. I helped Aaron develop it a little and we got Cartoon Network to make a few shorts. It was bad timing as CN were transitioning executives and the new ones didn’t get it. On the last one in the Hotel Lobby Aaron and I animated the whole thing, FUN!!!! Enjoy…
